Rob’s has more than 20 years of experience recruiting senior leaders for clients across a range of market sectors including professional services, engineering and advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, food and regenerative agriculture, third sector and defence. He has worked internationally, appointing executives across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Rob graduated in Sociology at Liverpool John Moore’s University in 2001 and after completing a Certificate in Sustainable Leadership with the University of Cambridge, he went on to work with academic partners to develop the ‘4A Model of Sustainable Leadership’, a unique method to assess leaders for their potential to make their organisations sustainable in the context of contemporary leadership challenges. This work led to Sherrington Associates winning the coveted ‘People-Centred Award’ at the national Good Small Business Awards in 2023, as well as the ‘Innovation in Learning Award’ at the Green Expo in 2023.
Rob is a certified leadership coach and a qualified culture assessor, regularly using analytics from Barrett Values Centre to diagnose organisational values and culture prior to commencing an executive search assignment.
As an experienced Non-Executive Director and Board Member, Rob has also held board positions with private and public-sector organisations and charities and was a Branch Chair for the Institute of Directors. Outside work, Rob loves to travel, read and spend time in nature.
