Before joining TASA as a partner in 1993, Jorge had a long career in human resources and administrations with Exxon Corporation, including five years as Corporate Human Resources Manager for Colombia, a position that involved several affiliates with close to 5000 employees. Previously, he was Corporate Secretary where part of his responsibilities included the selection of key executives for a 3 billion dollar coal mining project in Colombia, as well as for their oil & gas operations. Before that, he was Corporate Secretary for an Exxon copper mining venture in Chile, Executive Compensation Advisor for the corporation in New York, and Human Resources Manager for different oil & gas operations in Colombia.
Jorge has extensive knowledge of the Colombian and Latin America markets and currently specializes in the energy & mining, pharmaceutical, professional services and consumer sectors.
Jorge graduated in Industrial Engineering from the Andes University of Colombia and earned a post graduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
